These are probably the single most famous pair of shoes on the face of the Earth. Judy Garland’s ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz are seen here as they’ve never been seen before (or not!). The remarkable thing about these shoes is the fact that they are fastened with a buckle. Buckles are rarely used in the manufacturing of slippers anymore. The world is poorer place as a result!

I don’t want to give too much away but….let’s just say it is a real emotional roller coaster ride about the important decisions everyone has to make at some point in their lives. It shows how important footwear can be and just how fragile the bond can be between a girl and her favourite shoe!
I guess it’s a sign of the times but I find it hard to hide my frustration sometimes. When I see a barefoot child walking down the main street of my home town, I feel like vomiting and crying at the same time. Leather shoes made this country great back in the early 50s and now everyone seems to have turned a blind eye to the fact that footwear has fallen out of favour in a really big way.
