These are probably the single most famous pair of shoes on the face of the Earth. Judy Garland’s ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz are seen here as they’ve never been seen before (or not!). The remarkable thing about these shoes is the fact that they are fastened with a buckle. Buckles are rarely used in the manufacturing of slippers anymore. The world is poorer place as a result!
Who could deny how much The Cat Empire love footwear? No one! Shoes have been vital to the success of the band and general foot hygiene and care, play an important part in the band’s touring regime. I think they originally came from Melbourne, the shoe capital of the southern hemisphere, before conquering the entire world in one foul swoop!
This is a cute movie about a girl and her pretty pink shoes. I don’t want to give too much away but….let’s just say it is a real emotional roller coaster ride about the important decisions everyone has to make at some point in their lives. It shows how important footwear can be and just how fragile the bond can be between a girl and her favourite shoe!
