Online StoreImagine an online store with a range of shoes so vast that it needed the world’s biggest internet data base to store all of the information required to run it. Imagine a virtual fitting service that measured your foot using the latest multi touch screen technology. Imagine a shoe shop that allowed you to pay via direct debit, paypal or any of the major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express or your local library card. It sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well…..it is!Most online stores for shoes make purchasing footwear a cross between a nightmare and a wet dream. How could you possibly expect to get the right size and style without having the opportunity to try them on first? It’s impossible! Maybe in the future you will be able to download holograms of your favourite men’s, women’s and kid’s shoes and test them out before you buy. In an ideal world good quality shoes would be available to every living individual at a fair, reasonable and practical price. This world is far from ideal. When I was a kid I always wanted to work in a shoe store. The idea of man-handling people’s stinking feet really struck a chord with me, but I never followed it through. Maybe I should dedicate the rest of my life to creating the world’s best online store for footwear. I could die happy, knowing that my life had meaning and impacted on others in a very positive and affirmative way. I would sell all of the big brand ranges and styles, as well as designs by independent shoe manufacturers. |
